No visit to Independence Hall is complete without walking down the block to the site where Thomas Jefferson resided and drafted the Declaration.
Thomas Jefferson resided at this site while drafting the Declaration of Independence. The house was later demolished, and then reconstructed in 1975.
The first floor contains exhibits and a short film on the drafting of the Declaration. On the second floor, the bedroom and parlor that Jefferson occupied have been recreated and contain period furnishings.
