Introducing the

Philly Welcome Wall

Video by D. King for Bluecadet

Reach 2.5 million annual visitors on 42 ft. of dynamic digital content.

Independence Visitor Center is home to Philadelphia's largest interactive digital wall.

The Philly Welcome Wall is an immersive, multi-user experience that dynamically responds, attracts, and engages users to interact via touch screen.

Be among the first to share your message on this exciting new way to connect with visitors.

Overview:

Touchscreen Capabilities
Features & Functionality

The 42 ft. interactive, digital wall is comprised of three Banks, or sections of screens. Content is sourced through a shared content management system with PHLvisitorcenter.com and displayed on Slides, or background images with related listings, across one Bank. Motion sensors anchored on each Bank detect and attract passerby by reacting to movement and displaying dynamic content.

Welcome Wall with Desk
Content Strategy

Each Bank displays a variety of Slides using a playlist comprised of interactive Theme Slides, digital billboard-style Ad Slides, and Sponsored Content Slides. The application randomizes the playlist so Slides appear on each Bank at different times throughout the day. The total experience is designed to surprisedelight, and ultimately direct the user to the Visitor Information Desk to purchase tickets or request more information.

Advertising Opportunities:

City Hall Ad Slide
Ad Slides

Activating across one Bank, Ad Slides are full-screen, billboard-type ads for paid advertisers. Ad Slides rotate and play on each Bank, displaying for a full 15 seconds each rotation.

Chinese Lantern Festival
Sponsored Content Slides

Functioning like Theme Slides, Sponsored Theme Slides allow select partners to develop customized, interactive content that prominently features their programming.

Rediscover the waterfront.

Although situated between two major rivers, Philadelphia's natural resources became underutilized and somewhat inaccessible in the 20th century.

Ten years ago, the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation implemented a plan to transform the waterfront a vibrant destination for residents and visitors.

Today, seven parks, a trail, an outdoor skating rink, and renovated historic pier are among the new public spaces that attract hundreds of thousands to rediscover the waterfront each year.

Enhancing the

Visitor Experience

By Dan King for Bluecadet

Providing a new welcome experience for 2.5 million visitors each year.

In June 2019, the Independence Visitor Center completed an exciting renovation to welcome visitors with an informative, interactive, and 21st-Century orientation experience.

We enhanced the visitor experience and transformed from a traditional visitor center to one for the future. We added cutting-edge digital advancements, while maintaining our focus on personalized, excellent customer service through one-on-one interactions.

We continue to drive traffic to arts, culture, historic, retail, and restaurant destinations, resulting in increased revenue for all in the Greater Philadelphia region.
