Race Street Pier

Located in the shadow of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, the Race Street Pier is an amazing outdoor space for public activities, such as the free yoga classes offered daily from April through November.

The upper terrace, called the Grand Sky Promenade, rises 12 feet towards the bridge and is paved with Trex, a sustainable, synthetic decking material made out of reclaimed plastic and wood.

The Promenade is connected to the lower terrace by a multi-tiered seating area, perfect for watching the water. Sit on the terraced promenade and watch runners and trains pass by overhead, listen to wildlife splash into the water, and gaze out as the boats and barges float slowly past.

Race Street Pier is picnic-friendly and dog-friendly, with a spacious lawn and manicured plantings, providing a vegetated park suspended over the river.
