Independence Visitor Center

Located in Independence National Historical Park, at the intersection of 6th and Market Streets, the Independence Visitor Center is the official visitor center of Greater Philadelphia, and the exclusive location to pick up free, timed tickets to tour Independence Hall.

We welcome all visitors to speak with our multilingual Visitor Services Representatives, who are fluent in twelve languages. They are available to help you make the most out of your time, with options to purchase tickets to more than 100 area attractions and tours; book hotel or restaurant reservations; share upcoming event information; and assist with all of your trip-planning needs.

Stop in to browse and pick up regional maps and brochures; enjoy free informative historical films; charge your cell phone for free; and connect with our free wireless internet access. The Visitor Center is also home to the Independence Gift Shop, the official gift shop of the Greater Philadelphia region; and Cafe Independence.

The Independence Visitor Center is open 363 days a year, 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., with extended operating hours until 7:00 p.m. between Memorial Day and Labor Day. No timed tickets are necessary to tour Independence Hall in January and February.
