Philadelphia Zoo

See where the wild things are at the Philadelphia Zoo! Opened on July 1, 1874, Philadelphia is home to America’s first zoo. Come face to face with over 1,500 animals including giraffes, hippos and polar bears. Don’t miss the lions at Big Cat Falls, and the Zoo’s state-of-the-art PECO Primate Reserve where gorillas and monkeys rule the land. Soar to new heights with the Channel 6 Zoo Balloon or simply relax during a Swan Ride for two. There’s so much to see and do at America’s first zoo!

Tickets are available for sale at the Independence Visitor Center.
